Just what is The FREeCOLOGY SuperStore? Great question!
Are you tired of needing something (or not) and not having the money or the means to get it? Because we are. That's why, thanks to the Santa Monica College Barrett Art Gallery, there's now The FREeCOLOGY SuperStore! Your one stop shopping expierience for all the FREe things your household needs. Wait...FREe?? YES! FREe! But only in terms of dollars and cents because we are sick of capitalist modes of production, distribution, and subsequent modes of disposal!
There are two ways in which The FREeCOLOGY SuperStore offers the treasures you've been searching for at zero cost...
- As advertised on Craigslist and street signs posted in Santa Monica neighborhoods, come to barter and exchange with other FREeCOLOGY enthusiasts
- “Buy” anything w/ a FREeCOLOGY logo on it for the “price” of favors, deeds, etc, done for someone/something in the future or on the promise that you'll bring something back to the gallery in exchange
**UPDATE: MAY 30th: JOIN US FOR A FREeCOLOGY SALON IN THE BARRETT ART GALLERY AT THE Santa Monica College Performing Arts Center at 1310 11th Street in Santa Monica (link to map) FROM 2:00-4:00 PM!

The exchange will be an extension of the action from the grand opening, but in a manner that is not just between shop keeper and those interested but also amongst EVERYONE that comes in. This is to stress that FREeCOLOGY is not just a one way street from us to you. It can be everywhere and it can be anything should you choose to make it so. You don't even have to call it FREeCOLOGY. The most important part is that the FREe feeling we're all looking for can come from you. Most assuredly, YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO!
Suggestion Box is a gathering of sorts where all the participants come together to each share tactics of living FREely or as close to it as possible (preferably legal). While we do, in fact, know what to do, sometimes we need a little help and guidance in areas of expertise more foreign to ourselves. Who better to show us the way than other FREeCOLOGISTS?!
The FREeCOLOGY SuperStore! in progress! The products "for sale" include items ranging from FREeCOLOGY posters, FREeCOLOGY clothes, a FREeCOLOGY parking cone, FREeCOLOGY paint, and FREeCOLGY couches to a FREeCOLOGY billboard made from painter's tape...EVERY SINGLE THING in the SuperStore! must go for FREe as they were all collected for FREe via Craigslist and donations from FREeCOLOGY Team Members!
